Staying at Domaine de la Combotte in Burgundy

I’m in love with the various wine regions that we’ve visited thus far. Each has its own identity yet an equally unique vibe. France’s infamous Burgundy region is home to some of the worlds most delicious Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines. The best part is, it’s easy to get to by way of several of Europe’s most fabulous cities!

Finding the right place to stay is critical on adventures such as this because it’s not just a home base during the trip. Nestling into a French home and being one with the region is far more rewarding than being in a hotel away from these beautiful vines.

Domaine de la Combotte

39 Rue de Pichot, 21190 Nantoux, France

This was our second visit to Burgundy, so we knew exactly where we wanted to stay… Domaine de la Combotte in Nantoux.

Located just a 10-minute drive from the French town of Beaune is Nantoux, an adorable little village and home to Domain de la Combotte. It truly feels like our own small home for the time we spend in Burgundy.

Getting Here…

This is the easy part!

We rented a car in Paris and enjoyed an incredibly scenic drive, dipping into the dreamy village of Auxerre along the way. If you’ve planned to visit Paris along the route this works perfectly.

The closest airport to access Beaune is in Geneva, just 80-miles away.

About The Property

It’s impossible not to unwind in a location like this. Wake up to crisp cool air and enjoy breakfast and fresh coffee on the patio. Take a walk or ride a bike into Nantoux and past vines that have been maturing for decades. Nathalie and Denis, owners of the property, are the most lovely hosts and make it that much more special!

The property is surrounded by many vineyards and is a wine lovers paradise. Venture out to scenic rolling fields of grapes, take photos until your heart's content, schedule tastings at world-famous vineyards, and end up back at home on the patio sipping a bottle of Chardonnay while watching the sunset.

A bonus perk of lodging here is that you can use the kitchen as long as you properly clean up after yourself. With Beane’s marketplace and butcher, we were able to put together quite a delicious dinner and unwind and enjoy the moment.
